Distance from the Ground Zero

Hiroshima has been rebuilt as the City of Peace after the atomic bomb attack in 1945.

In 2018, when I visited the city, I found it has been built so precisely to remind people about peace. At the the time, it also gave me feeling of a kind of distance that cannot be named:

Between the war and peace, there is a kind of distance that cannot be touched.
Between the disaster and the reason behind, there is a kind of distance that cannot be spoken.
Between the devastated city and the prosperity city built on top, they are so close but also so far apart from each other.

After such disaster, life must go on without any choice. The weight of life make human become so tiny.

This series is a personal reflection about tangle and the unspeakable tension in heart while walking in the city.
History is repeating cycles. This story is not just about Hiroshima, but also about the place we live.
